It’s Friday! And my day off! AND pay day! I honestly feel like I hit the jack pot. I have so much fun planned for today.
But first I have to go to class, and do some homework, then the fun can begin!

Yes! I, Colleen, the person who hates to cook is going to make a million meals to put in the freezer today. I’m doing this for two reasons;
- I hate to cook
- I hate to hear about how I never cook
So let’s just get these out of the way for the next two months.
Patrick and I work weird schedules, and it’s strange for us to both be home for dinner at the same time, ever. It makes us both fall into bad habits like, eating fast food every night, or not eating at all. We can take these meals out in the morning, or the night before, throw them in the crock pot/defrost them/ whatever, and both eat happily.
The downside to living in a small apartment is that I don’t have a whole lot of space to prepare food. Thankfully; my parents live 4 blocks away and have a huge kitchen. They don’t know it yet but I’ll be doing all the cooking at their house, I promise I’ll clean my mess, and be in and out, they won’t even notice I was there. Plus they have way better pots and pans to use.
We only have a standard fridge with a standard freezer, this is where my parents come into play too. For my brothers wedding they bought a second refrigerator and I told them I was going to rent space in it. Ta Da! Problem solved!
Yes, you read that right, I’m renting space in a refrigerator- it’s still cheaper than eating out every night.
I’m also doing this today:

Cleaning and Organizing my refrigerator!
Let’s just say…it’s time.
While I’m on a roll, I plan to clean the rest of the house too, but let’s not hold our breath that it’ll happen 100%.
Thank God for Pinterest and other amazing bloggers or else I’d have to go with option 2 for today:
My other option for today:
Watch bad reality TV reruns on MTV.
I can’t lie- it’s pretty tempting.
Have you heard of #High5Fri on A Dash of Meg? You should check it out and give yourself a high 5 for whatever you did this week! Even on the crummiest of weeks, there is always something to be proud of!
My High 5′s:
- I kept myself calm and cool in situations that used to throw me over the edge
- I took some days off of running because my knee hurt, it always stinks to take days off, but sometimes it’s needed.
- I ran, and finished, my first relay race!
- I made some awesome new friends!
What did you do that is awesome this week?
Are your plans for today as exciting as mine?
Let’s be friends! You can follow me…

Way to get stuff done lady! Great “high 5′s”! I made a boatload of soup in the crockpot for the b/f to eat while I’m out of town this weekend, he should think that’s awesome
And a clean fridge is SO nice to open up, enjoy!
I’m glad you took some time off from running, I kind of did too! I’ve only run 3 miles this week but I will run 10 tomorrow.
You are dedicated, I can’t wait to hear how the freezer meals turn out!
High five to you for doing all of that! We work odd shifts too and it’s hard to meal plan etc
wow that is awesome! I need to start planning my meals like this so i don’t have to think about them!(:
Bad re-runs on MTV usually suck me in, and/or shows on TLC. I can’t resist Say Yes to the Dress and Toddlers and Tiaras. Trashy, but addicting.
