Saturday’s Long Run
11miles. Slow. Enjoyable.
Holy Weekend! I think I need another day off of work to recover. Two of my beautiful friends got married Saturday, so after my run, I didn’t exactly have time to recover, I had time to do a lot of this…

11miles + Hours of dancing + No time to recover = One very sore girl the next day.
But I had to power through the soreness because I had a bridal shower to go to. And it was lovely, I couldn’t be happier for all my friends who are getting married, have gotten married and especially for those who have vowed to never get married.
The last group of people are the ones that will help us not go bankrupt in the next 3 years.
The wedding was at the beach near us, and a lot of people camped to avoid driving home, we were in that group of people. However, I don’t recommend trying to put up a tent, in the dark, wearing a dress/suit, after multiple glasses of chocolate milk. We didn’t even stake it into the ground, just kind of threw it together, put some sleeping bags inside and passed out. We had to be up at 8am anyway, but it was a good thing there wasn’t any insane wind.
Right now, I’m stick rolling and looking for my next bridesmaid dress. My directions are; light blue and long. What do you folks think of this one?
I lost 2.8 lbs last week! Yay! I am back out of the 130′s and have been given some confidence back. I didn’t change my food intake at all, which is always nice and reassuring. I eat well, so when my weight loss stops, I do not necessarily have to completely change my habits, maybe just tighten up some loose spots. But this week what helped me was my jump in mileage.
This was the first week since spring that I ran over 30 miles. Previous weeks I had been running between 25 and 28, so the spike to 31 really boosted my loss.
I really recommend that whenever you are seeing a plateau in weight loss; first, you carefully evaluate your eating, then if you are on the right track with that; you give yourself a shove in terms of physical activity. Your body has probably gotten used to what you’ve been doing.
This does not mean that I will jump my mileage up again this week, that’s dangerous and will lead to injury.

I saw that you did a double digit run and was so happy for you! You had one amazing weekend.
Thanks! It was pretty great getting back into the double digits. It’s almost like being a part of a secret club haha
Wow on a busy weekend! A lot of my friends are getting married right now as well; so fun. Love the coral colored dress you wore. Busy weekend for me as well, getting ready to move, some family time & a 5K. And kudos’ on busting through the plateau; reevaluating always helps me as well. Have a stellar week!
