Holy cow, what a weekend we just had, we had so much fun that I’m pretty sure I need more than one day of recovery. But alas; back to work I go.
Today I also have a post up over on Charlotte’s blog, so head over there for something more exciting than pictures of my family!
Friday, I planned ahead and did my weigh in, it would have been pointless to do it Sunday after a night of partying so I just pushed it ahead two days. No big deal. I’m sure you’ve heard me say it before, but I don’t believe in watching what I eat on special occasions, holidays or vacations. A girls gotta have a little fun, and there was no way I was restricting myself on a weekend of food, fun, and family.
Before I get to the fun stuff, my weigh in was awesome. I lost 1.8lbs, leaving the 130′s behind, weighing 129.8. This was more than a fantastic loss for me, it was so relieving it, I had been bouncing back and forth between the same 3 lbs since June, I am so glad I busted through. I’m not holding my breath yet though, I don’t intend to, but going back into the 130′s next week would not be unheard of, I’m not in the clear yet.
(Sorry for the lack of quality for the pictures following- iPhonography)My parents have spent all summer getting their house, and more importantly, backyard, ready for this weekends festivities.
We had the rehearsal dinner at their house on Friday night. We had so much food, that I went today and essentially got a weeks worth of food that was left. Everything was beautiful, and the guys had fun grilling on the massive grill my dad built just for the occasion.
My parents had an ice cream truck come, which honestly, is awesome.
My favorite pictures from the whole night. All of us kids.
The next day, was the big day. I could not be happier for my little brother.
I didn’t realize every one was pregaming before the reception at my parent’s house, but that’s what happens when you have a tent and literally live next door to the church. So much for that nap I was thinking about taking.
And then the real party happened.
The reception was so much fun, and I’m pretty sure, I’m still full from it. Kevin is only 14 months younger than me; so we grew up with all of the same friends. Within our group, this was our first “friend” wedding, and we really lived it up. I danced so much that my feet and calves hurt today.
All of the first dances were choreographed , no one will ever be able to accuse Kevin again of not being a good dancer, he proved that he is pretty light on his feet. One of my favorite moments of the night was the mother-son dance. They danced to “You’ve Got a Friend In Me”
I don’t think there was a dry eye in the place.
Now the weekends over, all my family has gone home, and the newlyweds are off on their honeymoon. Back to work for me; and the start of my last week before school starts.
I hope every one has a very happy Monday.
What did you do this weekend??

I love the ice cream truck idea!!! That’s so cute! This weekend I was away in deep creek, md boating, fishing, and relaxing!! It was great! I just have one older sister who lives in NYC. We are still very close though! Oh and contests on leaving the 130s behind!! Such an accomplishment! Spalove!
Thanks for posting the great pics from the festivities. I really wish we could have been there. You guys had so much fun!
Congrats on another weight milestone. You are killing it.
I am trying to get going as I have been stuck for almost 2 months now!
Also, please have your parents send the ice cream truck to me.
The wedding looks like a ton of fun.
Thanks!
As much fun as the ice cream truck was, I have a feeling my parents will never rent one again.
