It’s Foodie PenPal Reveal Day!!!!
I got so incredibly lucky with my penpal this month. With my gallbladder revolting against my body, I cringed when she asked me what my food restrictions are, I thought to myself “this girl is going to hate me”, but in fact she responded with such a positive lovely attitude. Kait is not a stranger to food allergies and food restrictions, she follows the Paleo diet to avoid tummy pain (I 100% understand). I was so excited when she told me that my restrictions were easy-peasy and within 24 hours my box was on it’s way.
Before I show you the awesome box I got I’ll fill you in on the whole foodie penpal phenomenon.
-On the 5th of every month, you will receive your penpal pairing via email. It will be your responsibility to contact your penpal and get their mailing address and any other information you might need like allergies or dietary restrictions.
-You will have until the 15th of the month to put your box of goodies in the mail. On the last day of the month, you will post about the goodies you received from your penpal!
-The boxes are to be filled with fun foodie things, local food items or even homemade treats! The spending limit is $15. The box must also include something written. This can be anything from a note explaining what’s in the box, to a fun recipe…use your imagination!
-You are responsible for figuring out the best way to ship your items depending on their size and how fragile they are. (Don’t forget about flat rate boxes!)
-Foodie Penpals is open to blog readers as well as bloggers. If you’re a reader and you get paired with a blogger, you are to write a short guest post for your penpal to post on their blog about what you received. If two readers are paired together, neither needs to worry about writing a post for that month.
-Foodie Penplas is open to US & Canadian residents. Please note, Canadian Residents will be paired with other Canadians only. We’ve determined things might get too slow and backed up if we’re trying to send foods through customs across the border from US to Canada and vice versa.
If you want to sign up, fill out this form! You won’t regret it!
The first thing I saw when I opened the box was a note from Kait explaining what all the contents were. It was really sweet.
When Kait sent these they were homemade apple cinnamon muffins, when they got to me they were crumbs. BUT they were the most delicious crumbs I’ve ever eaten. She sent me two bags, one was claimed by my dad.
Tortilla Chips will never be the same after these.
I have used this salsa on almost every meal I’ve made since I got the box.
It is heaven in a jar.

Meet my new best friend.
Not only was this box amazing but it also sealed the deal for me that I will be making the 45 minute trip out to the the new Trader Joe’s once it is built.

oh my gosh that salsa! i want some
Awesome package! You can’t beat homemade treats, even if they arrive in crumbs.
And I love the name of your blog- combining chocolate and miles, two of my favorite things!
What a great box. I seriously love Trader Joe’s and when I get matched with a Foodie Pen Pal that doesn’t live near one, I go to town! Besides, the $15 budget goes a long way! Happy Foodie Pen Pal day
Anything from TJ’s = epic food pen pal box

Such a great package. I love the penpal group. It’s so much fun to get foodie stuff.
i literally love everything in your package! i would have def ended up crumbling those muffins into greek yogurt or cott chz anyway so i’d be happy they came pre-crumbled
getting something homemade is the best!
Ah! I never even thought about that! I hope someone else sends me crumbled muffins now!
